Tucked away among Salem, Oregon’s wine country, Zenith Vineyard boasts 87 acres of wine grapes – mostly Pinot Noir – as well as a beautiful wedding and events venue that typically hosts 80 to 90 celebrations annually. “Weddings are such special occasions, and we are passionate about matching the surroundings to the moment,” says owners Timothy and Kari Ramey. “We’ve worked hard to become a preferred location for weddings, and since 2008, we have hosted more than 900 couples with more than 130,000 guests.”

Unfortunately, the pandemic has severely impacted weddings as social distancing often means postponement or cancellation. “Due to COVID-19, we were unable to host any events from April through June,” says Timothy. “Of course, it has negatively affected our business, but even more so, it has been heartbreaking to see couples have to postpone their dreams of a perfect wedding day.”

Determined not to let that happen to one local couple, the Ramey’s were excited to help make a wedding dream come true by joining Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project. As part of the project, Zenith Vineyard is providing a wedding at a discounted rate and Columbia Bank is helping to pay the bill. “We are passing it on to a wonderful couple, Marrisa and Rei, who had to cancel their wedding plans for this year and incur significant costs,” says Kari. We will be providing them a discounted rate so they can get married in 2021 and begin their new life together.”
