Wayward Sandwiches of Canby, Oregon provides sandwiches that are (pardon the pun) a cut above. “We are a specialty sandwich and wine shop focused on scratch-made sandwiches and fine wines produced with integrity,” says owner Matt Morrisey. “We have more than 50 years of experience and we are really one of a very few specialty shops around.”

Despite the rare niche they fill, Wayward Sandwiches was still negatively impacted by the pandemic like every other restaurant. “It’s been very challenging, but we have continuously reinvented ourselves during this crisis,” says Morrisey. “Our greatest achievement is that we have fully retained our team, which is a wonderful feeling.”

Such positive feelings are a big reason why Wayward Sandwiches is working with Columbia Bank and their Pass It On Project. Wanting to help the community, Wayward Sandwiches is providing free meals to those who need it most and Columbia Bank is paying the bill. “We are passing it on by providing meals to the Canby Center, which helps out the entire community,” says Morrisey. “With Columbia Bank’s resources, we are helping to make sure this amazing organization has the support they need to help out individuals and families in need.”
