Serving tasty authentic dishes, Thai Express is a local favorite. This family-run business provides freshly cooked lunches and dinners to the community with a decidedly traditional flair.

Yet, like so many other restaurants throughout the Northwest, the pandemic has made business a struggle. “Our business has definitely had a hard time and we’ve had to let some employees go,” says owner Nang Mydouangchanh. “We love cooking for people and our hope is that we will return to normal soon.”

Mydouangchanh is not standing by however, while the community still deals with COVID. When asked to join Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project, Mydouangchanh was excited about the opportunity and knew exactly how to help. Thai Express is passing it on with free meals to the local urgent care and Columbia Bank is picking up the tab. “We are passing it on by providing meals to the Go Health Urgent Care facility next door,” he says. “They do an amazing job with the injured and sick and with Columbia Banks’ support, we are serving them delicious meals.”
