Sweet Lou’s is almost everyone’s idea of a go-to local restaurant. With great food that caters to tastes from vegetarians to hard-core carnivores, big-screen sports viewing and a family-friendly atmosphere, Sweet Lou’s is a wonderfully welcoming place.
Family friendly is also the way of being for owners Chad and Maggie Foust, who during the pandemic worked as hard as possible to keep their staff during the mandated closure. Their ability to streamline costs and become more efficient allowed them to retain 90 percent of their employees.
That hard work to keep operating is key to their efforts in Passing It On today. The Faust’s have long been supporters of Kootenai Elementary School and now they are donating meals to teachers and staff. “School this fall is going to be challenging and we are going to be providing meals for teachers and staff while they adjust,” says Maggie Foust. “They are an amazing bunch of educators, led by their fearless principal, Kelli Knowles, and we are proud to do our part to help.”
With Columbia Bank footing the bill, Sweet Lou’s is making sure busy and diligent teachers and staff have the fuel they need to teach Ponderay’s youth.
