Providing great sushi and teriyaki to patrons throughout Spokane, Washington, owner Kim Yeong works hard to find the absolute freshest ingredients for his customers. “I drive to Seattle every week to buy fresh fish to serve to my customers,” says Yeong.

Like many restaurants during the pandemic, Sushiwa Teriyaki was forced to close its dining room and transform to takeout only. “It’s been extremely difficult and we have lost a sizeable amount of business,” says Yeong.

Yet even with this hardship, Sushiwa Teriyaki is more than willing to participate in Columbia Bank’s Pass it On Project to help others. “We are passing it on by provided free meals to first responders,” says Yeong. “They have been working tirelessly and with Columbia Bank picking up the check, we will be treating them to some great food.”
