Sunset Plumbing of Bend, Oregon is not just a commercial and residential plumbing service, they are a third-generation outfit that really views their employees as family. “Every year, we take all of our employees on a deep-sea fishing trip at the Oregon Coast,” says owner, Julie Childress. “It’s a great opportunity to celebrate our business and our people.”

While celebrations have been especially hard this year due to the pandemic, Sunset Plumbing has continued to operate and serve customers throughout central Oregon. “We’ve taken many extra precautions to keep our employees and our customers safe,” says Childress.

Even if the deep-sea fishing trip may need to be postponed, there is one tradition Sunset Plumbing won’t miss this year. With a little help from Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project, Sunset Plumbing of Bend is providing services to Habitat for Humanity, and Columbia Bank is paying the bill. “Since 1989, we have provided low-cost services to Habitat for Humanity in Bend. This year, we are providing free service and materials to one of their homes, and Columbia Bank is paying the bill,” says Childress. “With Columbia Bank’s resources, we are going to help make home ownership possible for a local family.”
