Electromyograph (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them. It’s a particularly important test for many people, and The Redding Spine & Sports Medicine clinic is one of the few to offer this and other important testing procedures in the Redding area. “We are a small private practice providing thorough EMG testing in our local community,” says Doctors Joseph and Amie Purcell. “And we just happen to be the only accredited Electrodiagnostic laboratory in the entire North State area.”
For the Purcell’s, giving back to their community comes naturally to them. “We believe in giving of ourselves and giving kindness back to not only our patients but to everyone we encounter, “says Amie. “It’s just the right thing to do.”
Because the testing they do can be cost prohibitive, the Purcell’s are thrilled to partner with Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project. Through the project, Redding Spine & Sports is providing free medical testing to patients and Columbia Bank is paying the bill. “The tests are expensive and can cause real stress as people contemplate the financial burden,” says Joseph. “That’s why we are so honored to share this amazing gift from Columbia Bank with some patients so that they can benefit from this important diagnostic tool.”
