Bold fashion is the calling card of Ragan’s Boutique, a woman’s fashion store in Portland, Oregon. “My customers often tell me that I carry such unique merchandise and that I’m not afraid to try new things,” says owner, Ragan VanSise.

Being fearless has been a much-needed trait for Vanise during the pandemic. “It has been difficult for me and my business because so many people don’t want to come in during the pandemic,” she says. “But I’ve ben keeping my head up and serving whoever I can.”

VanSise’s spirit and perseverance made her boutique the perfect partner for Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project. She is looking to pay it forward by going to some of her customers instead of having them come into the boutique. Ragan’s Boutique is providing clothing to three customers who have pre-existing conditions that keep them from shopping, and Columbia Bank is picking up the tab. “With Columbia Bank’s help, I’m going to be able to provide some fashions to these fantastic ladies and dear friends of the store,” says VanSise.
