Par-Li & Co Boutique is a unique name and its origin speaks to the family nature of the business. “We are a mother daughter duo,” says owners Brittany Gipe and Mary Wilson. “Our business was originally named Par-Li after Brittany’s two sons, Parker and Liam. Then Cohen came along and now we are Par-Li & Co!” The two first started their fashion line online only, but success led them to recently open a retail shop as well.
Of course, the pandemic has been particularly hard on brick and mortar shops and Par-Li & Co has been no different. “We had to close in March, which was difficult,” says Brittany. “But it forced us to go back to our roots and transitioned fully back to online. The community and our customers have embraced our transition which has helped tremendously,” adds Mary.
Showing their appreciation for the community is now a big part of their efforts and that’s why the jumped at the opportunity to join Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project. Par-Li & Co is providing free gifts and clothing to staff and residents at Molalla Manor, a local senior living facility, and Columbia Bank is paying the bill. “We had a family member who was a resident at this facility, and they do an amazing job,” says Brittany. “With Columbia Bank’s support, we hope we can help brighten their day.”
