If you love cider, there really is only one place for you in the Treasure Valley – Meriwether Cider Company. This family-owned business employs more certified cider professionals and offers more varieties than any place around. In fact, Meriwether Cider offers not only wonderful local brews, but tastes from around the nation and the world.
“We definitely didn’t have the summer we normally have after being shut down for two months due to the pandemic,” says owner Molly Leadbetter. “It was extremely hard, but it forced us to get creative and find inventive ways to provide our product safely and efficiently.”
Being creative is a hallmark of Meriwether Cider and that includes their efforts to improve the community. They began a program called Let’s Do Good that partners with local nonprofits and Columbia Bank’s invitation to join in on their Pass It On Project was a perfect fit. Meriwether Cider Company is providing free gift cards and Columbia Bank is paying the bill. “We are passing it on by using our gift card program to drive donations toward the Idaho Rivers United Conservation Program,” says Leadbetter. “In this way we our benefiting our customers, the community and our wild rivers.”
