An absolutely essential service, In Home Medical Inc. of Pasco, Washington provides a host of home equipment including home oxygen, sleep therapy, wheelchairs, hospital beds and much more. “Our mission is to provide the equipment necessary to help people keep safe and independent as possible as they face their health challenges,” says owner James Jewell.

Yet while they were serving clients, In Home Medical also had to deal with the economic injury from the pandemic. In order to protect their vulnerable clients, they had to close their storefront and offer curbside service exclusively. “Our sales were impacted,” says Jewell, “but we knew we had to find work arounds and solutions to help our customers in need.”

Their spirit of service is what inspired In Home Medical to join Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project. Their focus is to help those who were especially hard hit by the pandemic, and Columbia is helping to cover the cost. “We have several customers without insurance who are recovering from the coronavirus and so with Columbia Bank’s help, we are providing deep discounts on some of our medical services,” says Jewell. “We know that will be such a welcome relief for them in this stressful time.”
