Located along the beautiful Columbia River in Richland, Washington, the Hampton Inn Richland is a great place to stay and enjoy gorgeous sunsets, amazing service, and wonderful amenities. The hotel is also located near wineries and golf courses which only adds to the pleasurable experience.

Of course, like many hotels throughout the Northwest, the pandemic has been anything but pleasurable. “We have had to cut 40% of our staff and our occupancy has been down 40% as well,” says owner Bonnie Vandervert. “We’ve never experienced anything like this.”

Yet being in the hospitality industry is not just a job, but a calling, and Vandervert and staff are looking to partner with Columbia Bank’s Pass it On Project to provide some free hospitality to folks. “We are providing gift cards for those in need to stay at our hotel free of charge and Columbia Bank is paying the bill,” says Vandervert. “We know that many people deserve a night away, and we want to work with Columbia to make that happen.”
