Enjoy Local is about as true to its name as a business can be. “We are a craft brewery and gift store that has become a favored community gathering space for individuals, friends, and groups,” says owner Kate Grissom. “Whether it’s enjoying a craft brew with friends or looking for a special gift for someone, our establishment is built by locals for locals.”

As a shop owner in the northern California town of Red Bluff, Grissom is keenly aware of the need for local businesses to support each other and work toward an even better future. “Passing along goodness and gifts creates reciprocity that ultimately sustains and uplifts ‘Main Street.’”

As part of Grissom’s commitment to supporting the community, Enjoy Local does their part each month with a few key events. “To me, passing it on means paying it forward, and we are doing that with two key monthly events to support local charities,” says Grissom. “First, we hold a ‘Pour It Forward’ event where guest bartenders give their tips to organizations in need. Next, we hold a charity bingo game where proceeds purchase gift cards and donations for similar charities.”

So when Grissom and team were approached by Columbia Bank to participate in their Pass It On Project, they didn’t hesitate. With the help of Columbia Bank, Enjoy Local is providing gift cards to customers to help brighten their day, and Columbia Bank is paying the bill. Through generosity and support, Grissom and her team are ensuring that Enjoy Local is more than a business name, but a promise to the entire Red Bluff community.
