In this time of great stress, the need for help and support of our back, shoulders and neck has never been greater. Thankfully for the Seattle community, a place like Emerald City Spinal Care exists. “Our mission is to provide people with all ages specialized chiropractic care and therapeutic massages to facilitate healing and the full expression of life,” says owner Dr. Christine Zapata.

Like many high-touch operations, Emerald City Spinal had to reinvent the way they provide service during the pandemic. From completely revamping their office procedures, to retraining staff about the highest level of safety protocols, the office basically went back into start up mode to prepare to see patients once the green light was given.

Columbia Bank’s Pass it On Project seemed like a great fit for the Emerald City Spinal Care team. As healers and helpers, Dr. Zapata and staff are passing it on to a group of dedicated people who are going through tremendously stressful times right now. “We are providing chiropractic services to teachers at the InterAgency Academy in Seattle,” says Dr. Zapata. “These are wonderful people who teach students that other institutions have given up on. With Columbia Bank footing the bill, we are going to make sure that these heroes get the comfort and support they so richly deserve.”
