A busy drive-thru coffee stand in Walla Walla, Washington, Dutch Brothers Coffee strives to “be a force of good” through outstanding customer service and killer coffee. The line of cars on a typical morning is a testament to both the great service and the great coffee.

As an essential service, Dutch Brothers didn’t need to shut down during the pandemic, but there were challenges to overcome. “We had to overhaul our cleaning procedures and really reinvent the way we interact with customers in a contactless way,” says owner, David Beamer.

Knowing Beamer’s inventive spirit, Beamer’s banker knew his team would be the perfect fit for the Pass It On Project. Dutch Brothers is providing free coffee and Columbia Bank is picking up the tab. “We are providing free coffee to fellow clients,” says Beamer. “This is a great thing the bank is doing, and we want to make sure other clients experience the Dutch love.”
