Providing homestyle meals to seniors in one of Woodburn, Oregon’s senior living communities, Country Cottage Restaurant also serves up great meals to patrons of the local golf course. “My mom and I started this restaurant back in 2002, and while she’s passed on, this business is a legacy of her love and dedication,” says owner Renee Hays.

Relying on patronage from a vulnerable population during the pandemic has been challenging for Country Cottage. “We had to shut down for nearly four months and it has been a real challenge to my employees and myself,” says Hays.

Yet, her dedication to her community comes first and that’s why Hay’s jumped at the opportunity to join Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project. “We are providing meals to Neighbors Serving Under-Sheltered Neighbors,” she says. “They are an amazing organization, and they help so many people in Woodburn. With Columbia Bank picking up the tab, we will help them continue their mission.”
