Bucky’s Complete Auto Repair of Auburn, Washington isn’t just one of the largest family-owned auto repair companies in the South Puget Sound, it’s a living legacy to the sport of dragsters and muscle cars. “For years, our founder, Bucky Austin was a pro race car driver who won national titles in dragsters and funny cars,” says owner Dennis Austin. “Bucky set the standard for all of us to both love cars and serve our car-loving customers.”

That love of service functioned well for Austin and his team throughout the pandemic as they were deemed an essential business. “Due to our skills and experience, we were uniquely positioned to not only serve the public, but also to provide repair services to first responders and other essential workers,” he says. “Even with all the challenges, we’ve been able to keep customers on the road and keep our staff employed.”

One could say that service is ingrained in the team at Bucky’s and when asked to participate in Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project, they not only said yes, they also are matching Columbia’s support with their own funds. Bucky’s Complete Auto Repair is helping the Emergency Food Network and Columbia Bank is helping to pay the bill. “We are honored to pass it on to the Emergency Food Network, whose mission is to provide people in Pierce County with a reliable supply of food so that every need is met,” says Austin. “We hope with our combined support we can keep essential services like food to be delivered to those in need.”
