A family business for 50 years, Brose’s Wholesale Florist has been providing beautiful flowers and greens from around the US and the world to local florists in Oregon and Washington since 1970. “Flowers bring joy, so helping spread that joy has been our life’s work,” says owner Finette Brose.
Like many small businesses, the pandemic has been harsh for the florist industry. With so many events like weddings and graduations cancelled, it has been a most difficult time. “We’ve had to completely close for several months and we are still struggling to keep the business afloat and our people employed,” says Brose.
Yet, spreading joy is just too important to stop right now. As a partner of Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project, Brose’s Wholesale Florist is providing flowers to elder care facilities and Columbia Bank is picking up the tab. “We are providing free flowers to several elder care facilities in our community,” says Brose. “The pandemic has been so hard on such facilities, and with Columbia Bank’s help, we will bring a little joy into the hearts of many.”
