For more than 20 years, Betsey Walton has used her camaras to capture and celebrate life around Redding, California. “I was born and raised here, and I thoroughly enjoy photographing the emotion of life,” she says. “Whether it’s seniors or children, I love making a quality portrait of people during the different stages of life.”

Walton believes that photographs are more than just images on paper. “Having photographs displayed in the home has been proven to enhance self-worth, self-confidence, and identity,” says Walton. “I love the idea of taking my passion and passing it on to others.”

To that end, Betsey is joining forces with Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project to help spread joy through photography. “I am passing it on to Curtis Homes/Atlas Life Services, which is an organization helping those with developmental disabilities. With Columbia Bank paying the bill, I will be providing photography and prints to those people getting services at the facility and their families. My goal is to turn those images into lasting and treasured memories.”
