According to Acorn Brewing owner’s and founder’s, Michael Pearce and Rick Winniford of Edgewood, Washington, the pair have been “beer-hounds” for as long as they can remember. “We’ve always been on the lookout for amazing flavors, rare treats and great taste,” says Pearce. “Beer has been our passion and we’ve started from the bottom and grown to create a great place and a great process to serve the best beer possible to our customers.”
Unfortunately, the pandemic has intervened to make in-person drinking and dining nearly impossible. “The COVID crisis has caused our sales to diminish as we’ve had to either reduce or eliminate in-person patronage at our brewpub,” says Winniford.
With hope of easing restrictions now on the horizon, Acorn Brewing is excited to partner with Columbia Bank’s Pass It On Project and reward those who deserve it most. Acorn Brewing is providing some refreshment to first responders and Columbia Bank is picking up the tab. “We are passing it on with free beverages and snacks to first responders,” says Pearce and Winnford. “They do so much for our community, and with Columbia Bank’s help, we are going to reward them with what our brewpub has to offer.”
